I haven’t been doing much blogging due to a combination of an earache that won’t let me chew and a wee bit of artistic stagnation. Meanwhile, -I’ve got all the jaw strength of snap-dragon flower. I stumbled upon Salon blogger Cary Tennis, who, in his 64 pages of archived musing about personal issues, has dealt with a number of artistic insecurities. Haven’t we all felt this way at some time? He may not be a visual artist, but he is a writer and so very experienced with the creative (or lack of) vision.
any of this sound like you? yeah, me too…..
“I’m an interesting, talented artist but I can’t take the rejection!
I’m an artist terrified of the vast, blank canvas
I’m an artist going crazy in a dysfunctional magazine!
I’m an art-school dropout wannabe!
I’m leading a double life (I thought I was a go-getter, but maybe I’m a slacker!)
Help! I suddenly stopped going to work”
…and, whose photo?
