re[collect] : paintings by Elisabeth Morrell

Welcome back, I always enjoy your presence here. There's lots of stuff on the internet, so I'm pleased to see you back! I appreciate you :D

[re]collect

Paintings by Elisabeth Morrell celebrating the completion of WWU’s BFA program.

Did you read the interview with Elisabeth Morrell - she’s having a solol show!

I use printed cotton quilting fabric, acrylic photo transfers, photos of my childhood… all things very homey and nostalgic. Hopefully when I put them together you don’t get “home maker”, but a more insightful view of memory and how a person changes from time to time.

Progress updates at her Twitter account.

Mommy I Want a Horse, acrylic on canvas, 30x48in, March 2010

Sometimes They Dress Alike, acrylic on printed fabric, 24x30in, Feb 2010
