I use acrylic paint, my own collaged drawings, litho crayons and spraypaint to create my work; whatever mark or medium will serve the purpose. I love to try new things; to see what happens when I splatter it just so, or drop pigment into an already saturated area. I love the soft gradients and diffusion of spraypaint and the way that it glows, to take it out of common graffiti vandalism and elevate it. I love the act of making. I have always drawn; margins of looseleaf, to the 2 foot high stack of sketchbooks in my closet from just the last couple years. I love when my skills break through to the next level; I was so sublimely excited when I created Babies are Cute because it was entirely painted from my imagination after numerous studies and plans, I was able to paint directly from my creativity, unfiltered by reference photos or slavish copy of a study.
